This image depicts the view across the southwest corner of the Green to what is now the Hopkins Center site. Wilson is at the far left, the Wheelock Hotel (replaced by the Inn) at right. It is not clear what the workers are doing, unless perhaps they are trying to reach a steam or gas line. In another view they are using a work sled drawn by a pair of horses.
