The First Church of Christ (or White Church, or College Church) stood north of the Green, on the corner of Wentworth and North Main Streets, with the Vestry at left. At the far left is Crosby Hall, now Blunt; at right is the Choate House in its original location. Stanford White remodeled the interior of the 1784 church c.1893. The building burned in 1931 and the congregation moved to College St.; no building now occupies the site though Sanborn House stands behind it.
