In a major land swap, Dartmouth may acquire Hanover High School and its fields, which occupy a prime site adjacent the College’s athletic complex, The Dartmouth reports.

New sports facilities

New sports facilities stand behind Thompson Arena: Scully-Fahey Field, an artificial turf field with bleachers seating 1,500, and the Alexis Boss Tennis Center and Gordon Pavilion.

An addition to Pike House on North Main Street will serve Latin American and Caribbean Studies.

The Skiway has replaced the Brundage Lodge with the new McLane Lodge.

South Block rentals

The College is renting out the houses in town it purchased recently and will have William Rawn (architect of Grasse Road faculty housing) renovate some of them as President Wright mentions in The Dartmouth.

Wilder is getting a tower and a new rear facade in Centerbrook Architects’ Science Center Addition, the Facilities Planning Office announced.
Rauner Special Collections Library in Webster Hall by VSBA is now finished, the library announced.

McCulloch Hall

The FPO has other projects underway including a fourth New Dorm, called McCulloch Hall and designed by Atkin, Olshin, Lawson-Bell and ready for Fall 2000, the school announced.
